Position: Accounting Analyst

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Job Purpose: To support the timely and accurate financial reporting of the Company's financial results to internal management and corportate head office on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of weekly forecasts, monthly financial statements and reporting requirements, and other quarterly and annual finnancial reports.

- Review and analyze financial statement trends and variances against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide adequate explanations to substantiate.

- Perform addition/disposition of fixed assets and maintain ledger.

- Reconcile cash system transactions to bank transactions on a daily basis.

- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations monthly: bank, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued liabilities, analyze underlying balances, and investigate discrepancies identified in the period.

- Review and approve invoices in the financial accounting system. Coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve any discrepancies.





- Prepare journal entries and document with appropriate support.

- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures in place and complying with federal and provincial and local financial legal requirements.

- Perform duties with diligence and accuracy, while adhering to timelines.

- Perform ad hoc tasks and analysis as requested by management.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a general accoutning role.

- University or College Accounting or Business degree.

- Enrolled or working towards obtaining CPA designation.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).

- Experience working with Oracle Financial ERP system is an asset.

- Ability to handle strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
