WCB Advisor, Western Canada Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented WCB Advisor to join our growing team in western Canada. This role is pivotal in providing support to our clients and navigating the policies and legislation of the Workers' Compensation Boards (WCB) in BC, AB, SK and MB.

The successful candidate will possess solid organizational skills, the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, excellent phone etiquette, and a background in managing workers' compensation claims exclusively in western Canada. As a WCB Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Acting as a direct contact and resource person concerning workers’ compensation claims management issues for clients in western Canada.
- Consulting with clients on their rights and responsibilities in accordance with workers’ compensation legislation, policies and procedures in BC, AB, SK and MB.
- Managing workplace injury claims and the return to work process.
- Ensuring regular and open lines of communication with clients and the provincial Boards.
- Reviewing claim files for objectionable items, cost recovery,



reduction, transfers or other mitigation purposes.
- Filing reports of injury (ie – Form 7), identifying issues for appeal, drafting letters of objection.
- Facilitating 3rd party interventions (functional capacity evaluations, independent medical evaluations, etc).
- Providing clients with on-site assistance as needed by attending: mediations, field investigations, return to work meetings and provision of workers’ compensation training.
- Representing clients at the WCB appeal and tribunal levels in BC, AB, SK and MB.

Mandatory Experience and Education

- Minimum five (5) years experience in WCB claims management in western Canada.
- Discoverable on CANLii, with a minimum of 10 references to confirm your experience.
