IELTS Preparation Instructor - Calgary

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IELTS Preparation Instructor to provide high-quality IELTS preparation instruction to students seeking to strengthen their academic English and examination performance.

The instructor will teach all four IELTS components and provide practical strategies, targeted feedback, practice examinations, and individual learning support.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver IELTS Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking instruction. Prepare lessons, practice exercises, mock examinations, and supplementary materials. Teach students how IELTS responses are assessed and provide clear feedback based on relevant scoring criteria. Help students improve academic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation,



writing organization, reading efficiency, listening comprehension, and speaking confidence. Track student progress and adapt instruction based on individual learning needs. Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field is preferred. TESL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent training is strongly preferred. Applicants should have prior English-language teaching experience and strong familiarity with IELTS preparation, test structure, and band descriptors.

Experience teaching international students or adult learners is preferred. IELTS examiner experience, IELTS-specific professional development, or experience teaching academic English is an asset.

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
