Sales & Vehicle Acquisition Manager - Winnipeg, MB
We are seeking an experienced automotive professional to lead sales performance and vehicle acquisition for an established dealership operation.
This position combines sales leadership, pre-owned vehicle purchasing, inventory strategy, and team development. The successful candidate will be comfortable working between the sales floor and the acquisition side of the business, using market information and performance data to make sound decisions and improve department results.
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded automotive leader who understands how the right inventory, pricing strategy, sales process, and team performance work together to drive profitability.
The Opportunity
You will have ownership of the day-to-day performance of the sales department, with a particular focus on pre-owned vehicles. You will set direction for the sales team, monitor results, identify opportunities for improvement, and remain actively involved in customer and deal activity.
A major part of the role will be vehicle acquisition. You will identify and purchase inventory that makes sense for the market and the business, balancing customer demand, vehicle condition, expected retail value, acquisition cost, and overall profitability.
You will also oversee the inventory lifecycle from acquisition through reconditioning and retail. This includes maintaining appropriate inventory levels, managing aging units, reviewing pricing, and working with internal partners to ensure vehicles are brought to market efficiently.
This is a hands-on management position. You will be expected to lead from the floor, coach and develop your team, step into customer opportunities when needed, and use performance information to make practical business decisions.

- Maintain accountability for lead response, follow-up, appointments, and overall sales process execution
- Work directly with sales professionals on negotiations, deal structure, customer concerns, and closing opportunities
- Recruit, coach, and develop team members while creating clear expectations around performance
- Recognize high performance and address areas where additional coaching or accountability is required
- Build strong relationships with customers and contribute to a positive reputation within the local market
- Partner with other areas of the operation to improve communication, efficiency, and overall results
- Contribute to promotional and business-development initiatives
- Maintain appropriate controls around expenses, processes, and dealership policies
- Support a workplace that is professional, respectful, protected, and focused on continuous improvement
- Take on additional responsibilities as required by the business

Ideally, you will have:
- Several years of progressive experience within an automotive dealership, including responsibility for sales performance
