Get to know Bespoke Guardians Canada. Calgary Open Day, Tuesday 17 November 2026.
We’re building a new children’s care team in Alberta and we’d rather meet you than read your résumé.
Bespoke Guardians has spent eight years in the UK caring for children and young people with complex needs. We now have 235 full-time staff across five services, and we’re bringing that work to Calgary. We’re starting with the team.
The open day
- Tuesday 17 November 2026, 10am to 6pm, downtown Calgary
- Can’t get away during the day? There’s an early-morning session on Wednesday 18 November, 7am to 10am
- Short presentation every hour on who we are, what we’re building in Calgary and what the job actually involves (the hard parts included)
- Then a proper sit-down with the people who run our services. Ask us anything.
- No interviews on the day. Formal interviews follow shortly after.
- It’s by personal invitation. Register your interest at the link below and we’ll email you a time slot and the venue details.
The roles
- Youth Support Worker: day-to-day support for young people with complex needs. Routines, school runs, difficult evenings, and being the steady adult who doesn’t walk away.
- Team Leader: runs the shift and holds the standard. Supports the team on the floor and makes the call when something changes.
- Supervisor: accountable for a service and the people in it. Rotas, quality, safeguarding and developing your team.
You don’t need care experience. We’ll train you for the job.
What we can’t train is attitude: turning up when it’s hard, staying calm when a young person is at their worst, and not taking it personally.
What you do need
- To be 18 or over
- Already living in Alberta and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence. The role involves transporting young people, so this is essential.
- A Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (we’ll give you the employer letter to request it)
- A Child Intervention Record Check through Alberta Children’s Services
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (we can help you get this)
- Two work references, one from a former manager
Start the police check early. It usually takes about two weeks but can take longer if fingerprints are needed. Don’t let that stop you registering, we’ll walk you through it.
