Creative Flow Craft Studio
Kelowna
Are you the person who brings the energy into a room, thinks on your feet, and somehow always finds a solution when things don't go to plan, without anyone being the wiser? Do you love working with kids, getting creative, and turning an ordinary day into something memorable?
We're looking for someone with personality, initiative, and a knack for making things happen!
Creative Flow Craft Studio is a busy, vibrant children's art studio offering creative birthday parties, art programs, workshops, and camps. We're looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, and highly capable team member to help bring our programs to life and create unforgettable experiences for the children and families who walk through our doors.
This role is about more than just leading activities. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the little details, and can confidently take ownership of their responsibilities. Someone who sees what needs to be done and does it, thinks creatively when challenges arise, and genuinely cares about delivering an amazing experience from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading fun, engaging, art-based birthday parties and creative activities for school aged children.
- Bringing energy, enthusiasm, and personality to every party, program, and workshop.
- Preparing materials, organizing supplies, and ensuring activities are ready to go before guests arrive.
- Confidently directing groups of children while communicating professionally and warmly with parents.
- Keeping the studio clean, organized, and ready for its next group by following setup and cleanup procedures.
- Thinking on your feet, troubleshooting challenges, and finding practical solutions without needing constant direction.
- Taking initiative and noticing the little things that make a big difference to the customer experience.
- Following instructions and procedures carefully while using your own judgment to keep things running smoothly.
We're Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Outgoing and energetic: You have a naturally friendly, upbeat personality and know how to engage a room full of kids.
- Capable and self-motivated: You don't need someone checking in on every task. You take initiative, follow through, and get things done.
- A creative problem-solver: You can think outside the box, adapt when plans change, and find solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Organized and detail-oriented: You notice the small things, manage your time well, and understand that preparation and cleanup are just as important as the activity itself.
- Confident and communicative: You're comfortable leading groups, giving clear directions, and interacting with both children and adults.
- Reliable and accountable: You show up prepared, take responsibility for your work, and can be trusted to see a task through to completion.
- Genuinely excellent with kids: You enjoy their energy, can manage a range of personalities, and know how to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
Previous experience working with children in a qualified setting is required, ideally 1–2 years or more. Experience in childcare, recreation, education, camps, events, or arts programming is an asset. You don't need to be a professional artist,
but you should be enthusiastic about creativity and comfortable learning new creative activities.
Full training is provided for our programs and activities. We're happy to teach you what to do; we're looking for someone who brings the initiative, judgment, and work ethic to do it well.
Hours & Availability
This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time work alongside school or other commitments, with opportunities to pick up additional hours throughout the year, and even to create your own programs to lead!
- Friday evenings: 5–8 PM
- Weekends: Saturdays availability between 9:30am & 5pm and Sunday 9:30am - 1pm
- Additional opportunities: Candidates with availabilities on Mondays 3-5:30pm and ability for on call throughout the week for after-school art programs, as well as open availability throughout SD23 breaks for art camps will be given priority. Opportunities for additional evening and weekend hours for those interested in developing their own workshops.
Weekend and Friday evening availability is essential.
