Experienced Automotive Service Advisor

A busy automotive dealership in Winnipeg is looking for an experienced Service Advisor who knows how to create a smooth, professional experience from the moment a customer arrives until their vehicle is ready to go.

You will serve as the main connection between customers and the service team, ensuring concerns are understood, expectations are clear and updates are provided throughout the repair process. The right candidate will be personable, organized and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Greet customers and discuss their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare accurate repair orders and clearly document reported symptoms
- Provide estimates based on required labour, parts and materials
- Explain recommended maintenance and repairs in an approachable, transparent way
- Coordinate with technicians and other department employees
- Keep customers informed about repair progress, timelines and costs
- Obtain customer authorization before additional work is completed
- Review completed repairs and invoices with customers
- Respond to questions and resolve concerns calmly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle concerns, repairs and corrective actions
- Follow up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their experience
- Support the department in achieving customer satisfaction and performance goals

What Will Help You Succeed

- At least two years of dealership experience as a Service Advisor




- Solid automotive knowledge and an understanding of service operations
- A proven ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to recommend services confidently and achieve performance targets
- Excellent organization, time-management and follow-up habits
- Comfort working in a busy environment with changing priorities
- The ability to remain composed during challenging customer interactions
- Experience using dealership technology and service software
- CDK experience is considered an asset
- A valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record
