We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Counsellor specialized in ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) claims to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs related to their ICBC claims, including emotional, behavioral, and psychological evaluations
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based counselling techniques tailored to each client’s unique circumstances
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions focused on trauma recovery, stress management, and coping strategies
- Collaborate with medical professionals, case managers, and family members to coordinate holistic care approaches
- Collect and document detailed case histories, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with privacy regulations




- Assist clients in understanding medical terminology related to their injuries and recovery processes
- Facilitate referrals to specialized services such as pediatrics or special education when appropriate for young or complex cases

Skills

- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in clinical or educational settings
- Background in hospital environments or healthcare settings with exposure to patient care procedures
- Strong research skills to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment for injury recovery
- Knowledge of pediatrics and developmental considerations for young clients
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
- Case management expertise to coordinate multidisciplinary services effectively
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to client progress and treatment efficacy
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to injury and rehabilitation processes
- Experience working within special education programs or supporting clients with learning differences
