Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with CNC machinery, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. The Press Brake Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality parts used across various industries.

Duties

- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and other materials in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical sketches, and work orders to determine bending angles, dimensions, and sequence of operations
- Adjust machine settings based on material type, thickness, and desired bend specifications
- Perform CNC programming for automated bending processes when applicable
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area
- Collaborate with team members on assembly and machining tasks as needed
- Assist with machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Use additional manufacturing equipment such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, cranes,



forklifts, and hand tools as required

Skills

- Proficiency in operating press brake machines with experience in CNC programming and setup
- Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery operation
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, welding, and machining techniques is highly desirable
- Experience with crane operation and forklift handling for material movement is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to bending operations
- Competence in using calipers, hand tools, and performing quality inspections to ensure precision standards are met
- Knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and overall manufacturing workflows is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols

Pay: $18.93-$28.00 per hour
