Elliott Immigration Corporation (EIC) is a regulated Canadian immigration consulting company handling all types of immigration applications, including permanent residence (PR) streams, including Express Entry, Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, CEC, PNP, Sponsorships, and Humanitarian and Compassionate applications, as well as temporary residence applications such as Study and Work Permits, Temporary Resident Visas, and related permits. We also handle a wide range of enforcement, removal, and admissibility matters and work closely with immigration lawyers on litigation-related matters.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and detail-oriented Immigration Legal Submission Writer to join our dedicated legal team. Must be a lawyer, paralegal or RCIC with experience in immigration law.

Duties

- Review client histories, analyze documents, and develop submission strategies in collaboration with legal counsel;
- Identify factual and legal issues and address them appropriately and in detail;
- Conduct legal research, including statutes, regulations, policies, and case law;
- Draft compelling, persuasive, and detailed legal submissions in support of a variety of immigration-related applications, including sponsorship, humanitarian, economic, business, and other immigration matters;
- Review and revise supporting letters, including letters of explanation, reference letters, employment letters, and other supporting documents, as required;




- Ensure that supporting letters and other client documents are consistent with the overall legal strategy and effectively address the relevant factual and legal issues;
- Communicate effectively with legal counsel and team members throughout the preparation of submissions and supporting documentation;
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of submissions and supporting documents;
- Manage multiple files and adhere to tight deadlines.

Requirements:

- Lawyer, RCIC or paralegal with immigration legal experience;
- At least one year of relevant experience as a legal writer, preferably in Canadian immigration law;
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher;
- A solid understanding of Canadian immigration law, regulations, policies, and case law;
- Excellent English writing skills, demonstrating solid analytical ability, technical proficiency, and persuasive legal writing;
- Strong legal research skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or gaps in supporting documentation;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
