Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Welder 4 to join their Custom Fabrication team in Chilliwack, BC.

Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in custom and specialty marine products. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder/fabricator looking to join a growing manufacturing environment with opportunities for long-term growth and development.

Position Details

- Location: Chilliwack, BC
- Pay: $35.00–$44.00 per hour, depending on experience and skillset
- Job Type: Full-time, permanent

What You’ll Do

- Perform MIG welding of carbon steel using .045 metal core wire
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and welding specifications
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure products are fabricated according to design requirements
- Fit and fabricate custom products, components, and structures
- Develop and use custom jigs and fixtures as required
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and customer specifications are met
- Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances
- Troubleshoot fabrication and manufacturing issues and escalate concerns when needed
- Complete assigned projects accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and secure work practices
- Support production requirements and assist with other duties as assigned

What You Bring

- AWS Ticketed Welder, ITA Level 2 Welder, or equivalent B Pressure ticket
- 8+ years of welding and fabrication experience




- Minimum 3 years of production GMAW welding experience
- Minimum 2 years of fitting and fabrication experience
- Strong understanding of weld symbols and engineering drawings
- Ability to read, interpret, and sketch technical drawings and blueprints
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and a patient, team-oriented approach
- Basic non-destructive testing experience is considered an asset
- CWB and DNC certifications are considered an asset
- Forklift certification is considered an asset
- Must be eligible to meet Controlled Goods Program requirements
