Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during various treatments including cleanings, fillings, crowns, orthodontics, and pediatrics
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Open Dental to ensure seamless documentation
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions,
and offering post-treatment instructions
- Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance paperwork as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards to ensure safety and compliance
Experience
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Dentrix highly advantageous
- Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics treatments enhances your ability to assist effectively
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care is essential
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding patient service
