We’re Hiring: Furniture Sales Representative/Designer

Décor Amour | Seaway Mall, Welland
Part-time: Starting at 15–20 hours per week
Base pay plus commission — earning potential of $45 per hour or more based on sales performance.

Do you love beautiful furniture, home décor, and helping customers create spaces they love? Décor Amour is looking for an energetic, motivated sales professional who can multitask and has a designer’s eye.

Previous high-ticket sales experience is required to apply. No formal interior design education or experience is necessary, but you must have an eye for colour, style, and coordinating furniture and décor.

About the Role

Help customers select furniture and décor that suit their style, space, and budget. This position combines confident selling, attentive customer service, design assistance, and hands-on showroom work.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable products.
- Confidently present higher-value products, handle objections, and close sales.
- Recommend complementary furniture and accessories to complete a room.
- Prepare quotes, process orders and payments, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Follow up on inquiries, quotes, and orders to build lasting relationships.
- Manage multiple customers and daily tasks while providing excellent service.
- Create attractive displays, move merchandise, and maintain an organized showroom.
- Support promotions and personalized customer outreach.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of three years of sales experience, including proven high-ticket sales experience.
- A designer’s eye for colour coordination, furniture placement, and styling.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.




- Confidence working toward sales goals and asking for the sale.
- Robust computer skills; QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems, payment processing, and accurate order entry.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- Availability for weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move stock weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. This is a physically demanding role involving moving merchandise and arranging displays.
