Overview

We are seeking a motivated Traffic Control Person to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow around construction sites, ensuring safety for workers and the public, and assisting with various other duties related to site operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of impactful infrastructure projects while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

- Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using proper signaling techniques
- Other Light duties as asked
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and other general construction tasks as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders or backhoes when required and trained to do so




- Support paving operations by preparing work areas and assisting with material placement
- Communicate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and the public to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

- Previous construction experience is preferred, especially in traffic control or related roles
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Valid certification in traffic control or flagging (or willingness to obtain) is highly desirable
- Paving experience or familiarity with civil construction projects is an asset

Pay: $18.25-$28.00 per hour
