CGI Montréal is looking for a Business Analyst with solid experience in complex technology environments, ideally within the banking or financial services sector. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business, technology, data, and delivery, partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams, and global delivery teams to define requirements and drive critical technology initiatives from analysis through implementation.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills with a solid technical understanding of banking applications, SQL, data analysis, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery. The role also requires the ability to take ownership of projects and contribute as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master when needed.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Perform data analysis and collaborate with business and IT teams to gather, define, and drive project requirements
- Manage backlog prioritization and support delivery planning
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), perform basic database queries, troubleshoot issues, and support problem resolution
- Act as Product Owner by challenging requirements, negotiating priorities, and building consensus among stakeholders
- Understand compliance and regulatory requirements and contribute to the design and architecture of compliance applications
- Take ownership of critical projects and lead Operating Committee and Steering Committee meetings
- Coordinate project priorities across global teams located in AMER and Asia
- Work with production support teams to resolve Level 3 production issues
- Lead project sprints, Scrum ceremonies, and release meetings with stakeholders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role





- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the technology behind banking applications
- Good knowledge of infrastructure, web applications, Unix and Windows operating systems, and public cloud-based applications
- Ability to analyze problems and discuss solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Project management experience
- Scrum Master and/or Product Owner experience
- Experience with JIRA for backlog and task management
- Previous experience working with Java based banking applications and cloud technologies
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Big Data databases
- Experience working with large data sets and performing data analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate in English (spoken, written), to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States

Assets

- Project experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 60 000$ et 110 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
