Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, extensive food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards to create a welcoming and efficient environment for guests.

Duties

- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant or bar operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Supervise and manage team members, including interviewing, training, and scheduling staff
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
- Handle cash transactions and POS systems such as Micros POS accurately
- Ensure adherence to food safety and handling regulations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Support in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist in developing staff schedules, monitor performance, and promote teamwork within the restaurant or hospitality environment




- Contribute to menu planning and implementation in collaboration with kitchen staff
- Uphold hospitality standards to enhance guest experience and satisfaction

Requirements

- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles; supervising experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage team dynamics effectively
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management, interviewing, and training staff
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and restaurant operations within the food industry or hotel environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Previous barista or kitchen experience is a plus
- Hospitality background including restaurant or hotel experience highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
