Grail Foundry is an emerging ecommerce business specializing in rare, collectible, and hard-to-find video games, consoles, trading cards, and gaming collectibles.

We're building more than a traditional video game store. Our vision is to become a leading destination for collectors across North America, offering everything from nostalgic classics to rare, high-value collector's pieces.

This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder and gain hands-on experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, online sales, merchandising, inventory management, and entrepreneurship.

Unlike many traditional student positions, you'll have the prospect to contribute to multiple areas of a growing business, develop practical skills, and see the direct impact of your work.

What You'll Be Doing -- eCommerce & Website Management

- Assist with launching, managing, and maintaining GrailFoundry.com, our Shopify ecommerce website.
- Create and optimize product listings, including titles, descriptions, images, categories, and pricing.
- Help manage and grow our eBay store and Facebook Marketplace presence.
- Cross-list products across multiple sales channels while maintaining accurate inventory quantities.
- Monitor existing listings, update pricing, and identify opportunities to improve product visibility and sales.
- Research competitor pricing and market trends using eBay sold listings, PriceCharting, and other resources.
- Assist with website merchandising, product collections, and promotional updates.
- Help identify improvements to the online shopping experience.

Digital Marketing & Business Growth

- Assist with digital marketing initiatives designed to increase website traffic, customer engagement, and sales.
- Support social media content creation and promotional campaigns.
- Help prepare product photography, promotional graphics, and marketing materials.
- Assist with basic SEO activities, including optimizing product descriptions, titles, and other on-page content.
- Help research competitors, consumer trends, and opportunities to reach collectors.
- Support email marketing and promotional initiatives when needed.




- Contribute ideas for growing Grail Foundry's online presence and customer base.

Sales & Customer Experience

- Assist with selling video games, trading cards, and collectibles through online marketplaces and in-person events.
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries and product questions.
- Help evaluate customer offers and research appropriate pricing.
- Participate in gaming conventions and collectible events, including booth preparation, setup, customer assistance, sales, and teardown.
- Help identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and encourage repeat purchases.
- Gain hands-on experience with sales, negotiation, merchandising, and customer relationships.

Inventory, Product Research & Operations

- Organize, categorize, label, and maintain video game, trading card, and collectible inventory.
- Research and assess products based on condition, completeness, rarity, edition, and market demand.
- Clean, inspect, photograph, and prepare merchandise for online listings and conventions.
- Help establish and maintain inventory SKUs, storage locations, and product records.
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets tracking acquisition costs, asking prices, sales, platform fees, and inventory status.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and order fulfillment.
- Help reconcile physical inventory against online listings and internal records.
- Assist with researching, listing, and selling other merchandise through appropriate marketplaces when needed.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and genuinely excited about ecommerce, video games, or collectibles.

You don't need to be an expert in every area.



We're particularly interested in someone who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, accountability, and a willingness to develop new skills.

Ideal Candidate

- Has experience selling on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or other online marketplaces, whether personally or professionally.
- Is interested in ecommerce, digital marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, or business operations.
- Is comfortable learning new websites, software, and digital tools.
- Has experience with, or an interest in learning, Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
- Is organized and comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, particularly when handling valuable merchandise.
- Has experience handling cash, inventory, customer transactions, or other responsibilities requiring accuracy and accountability.
- Can work independently, follow established procedures, and take initiative when appropriate.
- Communicates professionally and works well with others.
- Responds constructively to feedback and is willing to learn from mistakes.
- Has an interest in video games, consoles, Pokémon, trading cards, collectibles, or related hobbies.
- Is comfortable with a combination of computer-based tasks and hands-on inventory work.
- Is available to work in person in Scarborough, with occasional weekend convention attendance.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
