About the Opportunity

A well-established Alberta energy services company is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to lead daily dispatch operations for a fleet of more than 50 trucks working throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area. This role supports multiple divisions, including TDG fluid hauling for production and completions, pressure and vacuum truck services, and municipal services.

This is a supervisory role reporting to operations management and working as part of the operations team. You will be responsible for mobilizing personnel and equipment to meet client service needs safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

- Organize and dispatch a team of 50+ operators and third-party contractors, and report daily activities to management
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries and build solid, lasting customer relationships
- Partner with the sales team to ensure customer requirements are met on time
- Communicate customer site orientation requirements to management and operators
- Observe and report operator and swamper behaviours to ensure fit-for-duty requirements are met
- Monitor the electronic logging system for compliance with federal Hours of Service regulations
- Verify field tickets against driver timesheets, and work with office administrators to confirm time and ticket information is accurate every day
- Maintain working knowledge of customer policies and procedures, and ensure operators understand and follow them




- Act as the link between operators and management while upholding all company policies and procedures
- Complete and review required documentation, including hazard and incident reports
- Participate in daily operations meetings, operator reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Carry an on call phone and be available to respond 24/7 while on rotation
- Perform other duties as required

What You Bring

- Minimum 3 years of experience dispatching fluid hauling and/or vacuum trucks for oil and gas customers (required)
- Solid understanding of the equipment and driver requirements needed to fulfill client service requests
- Extensive knowledge of the fluid hauling and trucking industry
- High school diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (minimum); Class 1 or Class 3 licence and driving experience are an asset
- Current H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certificates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with electronic logging systems, mobile apps, and industry dispatch software

Schedule

- 8 days on, 6 days off rotation
- 12-hour shifts
