Maria’s Tortas Jalisco is a family-owned Mexican restaurant looking for an experienced, dependable Restaurant Manager to help lead our team and oversee daily operations.

We are a busy restaurant offering takeout and dine-in seating, with a solid focus on homemade food, welcoming service, cleanliness, and teamwork.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and stays calm during busy service. This is an active role that includes working alongside the team, supporting employees, and making sure daily procedures are followed consistently.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily restaurant operations and help keep service running smoothly.
- Lead, coach, and support front-of-house and BOH employees w
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff scheduling.
- Assign duties, follow up on tasks, and hold employees accountable respectfully.
- Maintain high standards for customer service, order accuracy, food safety, and cleanliness.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
- Monitor inventory, supplies, waste, and staffing needs.
- Communicate operational concerns and recommendations to the owners.




- Step in wherever needed during busy periods.

Qualifications

- At least two years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience training employees and managing a busy service.
- A reliable, professional approach and willingness to lead by example.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Spanish–English bilingual communication strongly preferred to support communication with our team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Food Handler certification preferred.
- Toast POS experience is an asset.
- Availability for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.
