Position Overview

We are hiring 11 experienced Warehouse Operators / Counterbalance Forklift Operators for our high-volume beverage distribution warehouse in Edmonton.

This position involves operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts and powered pallet jacks to load, unload, stack, and transport palletized products, including bottled beverages, liquor, alcohol, cans, and fragile glass products.

We are seeking reliable, safety-conscious warehouse professionals with experience in high-volume shipping, receiving, forklift operation, material handling, and warehouse distribution.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts and powered pallet jacks (walkies).
- Load and unload trucks and trailers in a fast-paced warehouse workplace.
- Meet warehouse productivity expectations, including a target of 26 pallets per hour.
- Handle fragile beverage products, glass bottles, cans, and packaging while minimizing breakage.
- Perform bulk stacking, pallet movement, loading, unloading, and inventory organization.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order accuracy.
- Prepare, verify, and build pallet loads for shipping and distribution.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment defects or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.




- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work setting.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet production targets and KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

- Valid forklift operator certification for a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
- Previous experience operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a powered pallet jack (walkie).
- Ability to meet a productivity target of 26 pallets per hour.
- Ability to safely handle fragile products, including glass bottles, cans, and packaged beverages.
- Robust attention to detail, accuracy, and workplace safety.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting, standing, walking, and other physical warehouse duties.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productivity-focused distribution centre.

Preferred:

- 2+ years of forklift operating experience.
- 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience handling bottled beverages, liquor, alcohol, or fragile packaged products.
- Previous experience working with warehouse productivity targets and KPIs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Available Shifts





Full-time day and afternoon/evening shift opportunities are available, including:

- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Afternoon/Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Monday–Friday, Saturday–Wednesday, and Wednesday–Sunday rotations may be available.

Afternoon and night shifts qualify for an additional $2.00/hour shift premium.

Overtime and statutory holiday availability may be required.

Working Conditions
