Types of General Labour Tasks

Depending on customer needs and your skills, tasks may include:

- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other items
- Helping with residential and commercial moves
- Moving, lifting, and rearranging furniture
- Packing and unpacking household or office items
- Assisting with garage, basement, and storage cleanouts
- Sorting, organizing, and moving household belongings
- Assisting with event setup and takedown
- Basic warehouse and material-handling assistance
- Assembling and disassembling furniture
- General property cleanup and debris removal
- Other non-specialized manual labour and household assistance

Task requirements vary. Contractors should only accept tasks they are qualified and physically able to complete safely.

Requirements





- Must be 18 years or older
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Proof of work eligibility (Canadian passport, birth certificate, permanent resident card, citizenship certificate, or valid work permit)
- Social Insurance Number (SIN) for required verification
- Driver’s licence for driving-related tasks
- Police record check when required
- Android smartphone
- Appropriate clothing, footwear, tools, and equipment for accepted tasks, where applicable
- Ability to follow task instructions and perform accepted work safely

No previous general labour experience required for suitable tasks. Some tasks may require relevant experience, specialized equipment, or additional qualifications.
