Lumaris Support Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Program Associate / Behaviour Support Worker to support children, youth, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and diverse support needs.

The role includes 1:1 and group support, behaviour support, life skills, community participation, recreational activities, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 and group support in programs, homes, schools, daycares, and community settings.
- Implement individualized support plans and ABA-based strategies under appropriate supervision.
- Support communication, social skills, emotional regulation, daily living, and independence.
- Use positive behaviour-support strategies, prompting, modelling, reinforcement, and skill-building techniques.
- Collect basic data, document progress, and communicate observations with the Manager and support team.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Prepare activities and learning materials and maintain a safe, positive workplace.
- Follow prescribed programs, company policies, and guidance from supervisors.

Qualifications





- Diploma or degree in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Developmental Services, Education, or a related field.
- 1+ year experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioural needs.
- Experience with ABA, behaviour support, or Instructor Therapist work is an asset.
- Knowledge of prompting, reinforcement, skill acquisition, and behaviour-support strategies.
- Strong communication, observation, organization, and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, professional, and open to supervision and feedback.
- Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- First Aid/CPR and behaviour-support training are assets.
