Our client, a family-owned Home Furnishing Company in Meaford, Ontario is currently looking for a Full-time Delivery Driver to perform deliveries throughout Grey & Bruce County. The selected candidate will make deliveries Monday - Friday starting at 8:00 am and leaving from the Meaford location. This is a full-time role with a wage starts at $20.00 per hour.

About The Role

This role will be delivering furniture, mattresses and appliances to customers safely and courteously while keeping the truck, warehouse, showroom and store ready for the next delivery. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role. Delivery work is the priority; once routes are finished, the employee continues working at the Meaford store, warehouse, vehicle and building tasks for the rest of the scheduled shift. Other requirements include:

- Driving Company Delivery Truck Responsibly, Follow Traffic Rules, Complete Vehicle Checks & Records, & Report Incidents or Vehicle Concerns.
- Load, Secure, Transport, Unload & Carry Products Safely Using Proper Lifting Techniques & Equipment.
- Protecting Products, Vehicles & Customers’ Homes During Deliveries.
- Confirming Orders & Delivery Instructions; Bring Items Into Homes, Unpack, Position or Assembling As Required, Remove Packaging, & Complete Paperwork.
- Communicating Professionally With Customers & Report Complaints, Damage, Shortages or Issues Promptly.
- Working Cooperatively With Delivery Partners, Warehouse Staff, Sales Teams & Management.
- Receiving, Inspect, Move, Label & Organize Furniture, Mattresses & Appliances.




- Preparing Orders & Maintain Accurate Inventory & Paperwork.
- Assisting With Showroom Displays, Warehouse Organization, Packaging Disposal, Cleaning & Building Upkeep.
- Keeping Delivery Truck & Equipment Clean, Organized & Well Maintained.
- Completing Required Checks, Attend Training & Follow Safe Handling Procedures.
- Performing Other Related Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence, Clean Driver’s Abstract & Ability To Meet Company Vehicle Insurance Requirements.
- Ability To Perform Physically Demanding Work, Including Loading, Unloading, Moving & Carrying Bulky Products, With Lifting Up To 75 Lb When Required.
- Safe Lifting, Load Securing & Vehicle Practices; Willingness To Ask For Assistance When Needed.
- Dependable Attendance, Strong Work Ethic, Professional Customer Service, Attention To Detail & Willingness To Learn.
- Ability To Work Scheduled Delivery & Store Shifts, Including Weekends When Required

This role would be a great fit for a candidate with experience as a bus driver, delivery driver, dry van driver, long-haul trucker, dump or cement truck driver, or flatbed hauler.
