About the Project

This prospect supports an as-and-when-required Standing Offer for interior and exterior painting and related surface-finishing services for Department of National Defence (DND) infrastructure at CFB Suffield and associated DND facilities in the Ralston, Alberta area. Work may include building painting, road markings, fencing, epoxy floor coatings, sandblasting, surface preparation, and related finishing work.

Job Summary

Tarkine North Inc. is seeking a reliable Painter Helper to support skilled painters with surface preparation, material handling, setup, cleanup, and basic painting tasks. This is an opportunity to gain practical exposure to painting and finishing work while contributing to DND infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

· Clean, scrape, sand, mask, and prepare surfaces for painting.

· Move, organize, and protect materials, tools, and surrounding areas.

· Assist with basic painting and finishing under direct supervision.

· Set up and clean work areas and maintain tools and equipment.

· Follow supervisor directions and all workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

· Previous painting, construction, maintenance, or general labour experience is an asset.

· No journeyperson certification or apprenticeship registration required.

· Willingness to learn, follow instructions,



and perform hands-on tasks.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively with a team.

· Eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements
