Ridgetechone Construction & Development Corp. (RTO) is a self-performing crane and concrete formwork contractor in the Lower Mainland. Our Survey & Detailing Lead runs layout and formwork detailing across our projects, and we’re hiring an assistant to support that work.

Your main project will be Old Clayburn in Abbotsford. This is a hands-on learning role for someone who wants to build a career in construction layout and detailing.

What you’ll do

- Help with site layout and survey work: set up and carry equipment, hold the rod or prism, place and protect control points, and mark gridlines, offsets and elevations
- Help check formwork, embeds and anchor bolts against the drawings before pours
- Under the lead’s direction, make drawing updates, markups and simple formwork layouts in AutoCAD
- Prepare basic material takeoffs and quantity lists
- Keep drawing sets, revision logs and survey records organized and current
- Take site photos and record as-built measurements
- Pick up supplies, deliver materials, and do other support tasks as needed

What we’re looking for





- Willingness to learn and take direction, with a high attention to detail
- Basic AutoCAD or drafting skills are an asset. We’ll train the right person
- Experience with a total station, laser level or construction layout is an asset
- Some construction, carpentry or forming background is a plus
- A drafting, survey or civil technology student or recent grad is welcome to apply
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and moving between site and office
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- CSA boots, hard hat and hi-vis

Details

- Full-time, Monday–Friday, split between site and office
- Pay: $28–$32/hr depending on experience
- Training from an experienced lead, with room to grow into a detailer or layout role

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
