Mega-Tech is a leading nationwide supplier of police, fire and EMS products. Established in 1986, our product line has grown to include radar, laser, in-car video,decalling and emergency vehicle lighting products. Our services include sales, installations and repairs, and our customers consist of first responders, government agencies and private services.

We are looking for a creative individual to join our team as a Graphics Manager. This position will oversee and work with all areas of the department.

The Successful applicant will need to have experience with design, production and installation of graphics on vehicles and must be:

Creative:

You must have strong conceptual skills and the ability to quickly develop creative

solutions to visual communications problems. You must be able to envision and produce the picture that others can only express with their words. Excellent brainstorming skills are highly desired. Creative thinking allows brilliant ideas to surface and you should use this opportunity to express your creative skills, web design.

Computer and Software Proficiency:

Flexi, Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign used in the advertising, publishing, design and printing industries.

Vehicle Graphics Design and Production:

Have experience designing vehicle graphics and wraps. Experience with wide format vinyl printers and plotters an asset.

Color Management:

Have the ability to use the proper color spaces depending on the application (CYMK, RGB, SPOT and Pantone)





Knowledge of Vinyl Materials:

Have experience designing for different vinyl materials.

Typography Skills:

Understand the fundamentals of typography is essential for effectively using type as a design element, and employers are always on the lookout for designers with this skill -- particularly for print, logo design and brand identity.

Innovative:

Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems.

Stress Tolerance:

Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively work well under pressure.

The following skills are an asset, but not required, which include Wordpress, marketing, social media savvy and experience in the sign industry.

All candidates will be required to meet the following requirements:

- Diploma or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work unsupervised and well with others
- Must be able to pass a local police and possible RCMP background check
- Qualified, courteous manner. Able to work with confidential information
- Clean driving record, with valid class 5 license
- Applicants possessing experience implementing wired/wireless networks and Linux knowledge are preferred.
