Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support employees and leaders across two organizations in Mississauga, Ontario. This position oversees a broad range of HR activities, from hiring and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and people programs. The role is well suited to someone who can strengthen HR foundations, improve day-to-day processes, and provide practical guidance in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR contact for both organizations, providing day-to-day support to employees and leadership teams.
Design, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and core practices to build a consistent and effective people framework.
Partner with managers on staffing plans, recruitment activities, and hiring processes to meet operational needs.
Coordinate onboarding and support the employee experience throughout the full employment lifecycle.
Advise leaders on performance concerns, workplace investigations, and employee relations matters with a balanced and compliant approach.
Administer time and attendance processes for hourly staff and assist with payroll-related information and documentation.




Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR administration is completed in a timely and organized manner.
Oversee health and safety programs, including training, incident follow-up, and related compliance activities.
Manage employee leaves, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work planning in collaboration with leaders and employees.
Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics for ownership while identifying opportunities for process improvement and change management.

Requirements:
At least 7 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
Background supporting HR functions in manufacturing, distribution, food, or retail settings.
Demonstrated ability to build or improve HR policies, procedures, and operational processes.
Solid knowledge of employment legislation, performance management practices, and employee relations.
Experience working with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce.
Solid capability in HR administration, advantages coordination, training support, and employee documentation.
Solid communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work independently as a trusted HR resource.
