Our technology powers over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories across 5 continents and we have the privilege to work with a significant proportion of Fortune 500 manufacturers, from space rockets, to electrical cars, to robotics.
At Vention, you’ll work alongside driven and talented people who care deeply about their craft and the impact they create. We’re a team of high achievers who grow through meaningful work, solving complex challenges, learning fast, and seeing the results of our efforts every day.
We move quickly and aim high, but we do it together with care, collaboration, and respect. Our culture celebrates diverse perspectives and supports your growth through intentional development, strong leadership, and opportunities to make a real difference.
The Role
As a Junior Integration Specialist at Vention, you will be a member of the Customer Success team, helping our clients get the most out of our industrial automation systems through remote technical support. This is a growth-oriented role: you will work closely with, and be mentored by, our Senior Integration Specialists as you build deep expertise across Vention's hardware, software, and robotics ecosystem.
During your regular day shifts, you'll support clients remotely by investigating issues, validating hardware and software configurations, and resolving front-line support cases. You are also responsible for answering remote support calls from Vention clients who subscribe to our support packages. As part of a shared coverage model, you'll also be available on an as-needed basis to provide remote support during night-shift and weekend hours.
What you'll do:
- Provide Tier 3-4 technical support for Vention's platform and ecosystem, resolving cases and escalating more complex issues to Senior Integration Specialists.
- Be available, on an as-needed basis, to take remote support calls during night-shift and occasional weekend hours as backup coverage when the dedicated team member is unavailable.
- 5PM to 12AM on weekdays when needed
- 5PM Friday to 5PM Sunday 13 weekends per year
- Assist with technical deployments and investigations, both remotely when required, ensuring Vention hardware, software, and robotics systems meet client expectations.
- Program and validate automation systems using Vention's MachineMotion controller, MachineLogic software, and client-specific logic (Python), with support from senior team members.
- Support the integration and commissioning of robot applications using our key partner technologies (Fanuc and Universal Robots),
including basic programming, safety configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Own incoming support tickets in our support system (Zendesk and Jira), prioritize effectively, and ensure clear, timely communication with clients.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and technical FAQs, to enable client self-service and reduce repetitive tickets.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for current hardware and software releases to help ensure readiness before rollout.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and QA by sharing field insights and helping identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously build your technical depth, communication skills, and ownership under the guidance of Senior Integration Specialists.
What You Bring to the Table
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, robotic systems integration, or technical support roles.
- A plus if you have experience with robot programming (Fanuc & UR) and automation platforms.
- A explicit communicator, able to explain technical concepts to clients, teammates, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable programming and troubleshooting (Python) across electrical, mechanical, and software layers, with a willingness to keep learning.
- Eager to work directly with clients in post-sales environments and grow into owning support relationships.
- Available to provide remote support during night-shift and weekend hours on an as-needed basis, as part of a shared coverage model.
- Fluent in English; French and Spanish are strong assets.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
- Foundational knowledge of system commissioning, controls, and industrial machine integration.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk and Jira) and internal knowledge base development is an asset.
