- Maintain backup platforms through proactive maintenance, patching, upgrades, and platform improvements.
- Use automation to improve service delivery, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Strengthen backup security,

including immutable and offsite recovery strategies to help protect against ransomware.
- Investigate recurring issues, complete root cause analysis, and implement long-term remediation.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, DR plans, and validation reports.
- Work closely with internal teams and clients to balance priorities and deliver dependable service.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience across virtualization, Windows Server, storage, networking, backup strategies, and scripting.
- Solid experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Experience protecting Microsoft 365 or other SaaS workloads, ideally with Datto SaaS Protection.
- Solid knowledge of backup and recovery best practices, including the 3-2-1 approach, retention, immutability, and RTO/RPO planning.
- Experience designing technical solutions and producing clear client-facing documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Remote Monitoring and Management platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- A collaborative, positive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred, Not Required

- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification.
- Hands-on experience with Datto BCDR, Azure Backup, or Azure Site Recovery.

- VMware or Microsoft virtualization certifications.
- PowerShell experience for backup automation and reporting.
- Experience with ConnectWise Manage and/or ConnectWise Automate.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- Clients leave each interaction feeling more confident and supported.
- Technology is explained clearly and connected to meaningful business outcomes.
