The buyer receives and reviews purchase requisitions and identifies potential sources of supply. They place orders for goods and supplies and verify delivery documentation. Plan and coordinate the procurement of goods, supplies, and equipment in collaboration with various departments.Manage tendering processes, evaluate bids, and ensure compliance with procurement requirements.Issue purchase orders and monitor deliveries, contracts, and specialized purchases.Negotiate with suppliers, manage returns, and resolve purchasing discrepancies.Prepare purchasing forecasts and monitor inventory levels.Maintain procurement records, catalogs, and supplier information.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and ensure adherence to purchasing policies and procedures.Required Qualifications :Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Administration or a related field.Minimum of one year of experience in procurement or purchasing.Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain operations, and procurement processes.Experience with tendering, contract document preparation, and selection committee coordination.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and procurement software.Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.Familiarity with SEAO, CAG, Workday, Edilex, Lean/Kanban principles, and continuous improvement practices is an asset.Working at Shriners Hospital for Children - Canada means working in a family-oriented setting, offering opportunities for learning, professional development and the chance to make a difference.
