Human Resources Consultant

Full-time | Remote with client-site work as needed | Flexible schedule

You take pride in your work, care about the details and want to help businesses succeed through their people. At SIEL Human Solutions, we provide strategic, customized, end-to-end HR solutions to organizations across Western Canada. We build trusted relationships with our clients, get to know their businesses and help them navigate the people challenges and opportunities that come with growth and change.

We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Consultant who shares that drive. Someone who takes initiative, follows through and brings practical, creative ideas to the table. Someone who is ambitious about their own growth and invested in helping clients succeed.

We're a hardworking, innovative team that cares about our clients, supports one another and makes room for fun along the way. We love learning, growing and exploring how technology and automation can simplify processes and help our clients succeed.

Reporting to the CEO, you'll have the autonomy to manage your assignments and the support of colleagues who are ready to collaborate. We offer a flexible schedule and remote working arrangement, balanced with client commitments, team collaboration and in office work as needed. We value accountability, quality work and the flexibility to manage both professional and personal priorities.

Your work will offer variety, responsibility and the opportunity to see the difference you make—from helping a manager navigate a difficult conversation to building HR programs that support a client's long-term success.

Lead and deliver client projects across HR policies and procedures, job descriptions, recruitment and selection, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.

Support clients through complex employee matters, including accommodations, leaves of absence, absenteeism, workplace concerns,

performance issues and terminations.

Develop practical HR programs and recommendations tailored to each client's culture, goals and operational needs.

Prepare accurate, thoughtful and polished documentation, paying close attention to detail before materials reach a client.

Manage project timelines and competing priorities, keeping clients informed and following through on commitments.

Identify opportunities to introduce technology, business process improvements and automation that reduce administrative work and strengthen clients' people management practices.

Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to client challenges, looking beyond established approaches to find what works best for their business.

Stay current on HR practices, applicable employment legislation and emerging technologies.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least seven years of progressive HR experience, including independently managing complex HR matters.

A professional HR designation, such as CPHR, CHRP or CHRL, is an asset.

Consulting or client-facing experience is an asset.

Strong knowledge of HR practices and applicable employment legislation.

Excellent writing, communication and relationship-building skills.

Confidence working independently, managing multiple priorities and knowing when to draw on your team's expertise.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with applicant tracking systems and HR information systems.

The ability to work remotely and attend client sites as required.

Are driven to help clients build stronger workplaces and achieve their business goals.

We offer a competitive compensation package, a flexible schedule, varied and meaningful client work, and opportunities to grow your expertise. Please send your cover letter and resume to Mary Jo Radford, Senior Workforce Talent Consultant , at maryjo.
