Senior Accountant

Our team is committed to upholding professional standards and delivering exceptional client service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will support our assurance team by preparing financial statements, managing accounts, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Audit and review of financial statements independently and in teams with minimal supervision (including thorough response to planning, identification and resolution of engagement issues, complete working paper organization and evidence, thorough clearing of queries)

- Lead engagement teams, which will include planning, fieldwork and training of CPA students
- Review for completion/overall quality of working papers prepared by junior staff prior to handing in to manager/partner for detailed review
- Keep abreast of current and emerging technical and tax developments
- (Preparation of basic and complex personal, trust and corporate income tax returns with reduced supervision




- Assistance with training and mentoring of Co-op and new staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Completed CPA designation

Minimum 4 years public accounting experience

Experience in preparation of review and audit engagements within a team or individually

Experience leading engagement teams, including planning, fieldwork and training of CPA students.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., iFirm, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
