As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will be working with colleagues on the PC Optimum team and report to the Software Development Manager. You will have exposure to every aspect of the software development cycle, and you will be encouraged to express your opinions and challenge assumptions. Working across i OS and Android, the PC Optimum team builds and evolves experiences that help Canadians engage with one of the country’s largest loyalty programs.What you’ll do Cultivate a deep understanding of our mobile applications and supporting ecosystem, along with their respective strengths and weaknesses, to provide solutions to existing and future challenges.Design and build mobile software components to enhance our i OS and Android applications.Construct design documents and documentation to aid in maintenance and code reuse.Through your knowledge of industry trends and tools, together with your own experiences, work with the team to improve our software, our environment, and our process.Provide guidance and direction to the development teams to tear down obstacles and keep initiatives on target and moving forward.Coach and mentor junior developersProvide technical guidance and support in resolving critical issues.Does this sound like you? Swift and i OS developmentKotlin and Android developmentMobile application architecture, design patterns, and platform best practicesLogging, monitoring, analytics, and performance optimization for mobile applicationsCI/CD and automated build, test, and release processes for i OS and AndroidWe are hoping to find someone with as many of the following as possible: Strong experience building, maintaining, and evolving production mobile applications on both i OS and AndroidExperience designing scalable, maintainable mobile architectures and reusable componentsExperience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend servicesKnowledge of mobile security, networking, performance, and application lifecycle considerationsExperience with automated testing and modern mobile development toolingYou are opinionated about what it takes to produce great software but remain receptive to other’s ideas.You care about ownership. You proactively seek out bugs and fix them. Occasionally, when bugs find you, you don't sweep them under the rug.You are experienced with software estimation, often confronted with complexity and uncertainty.You make decisions based on data. You are versed with tools to measure application quality, performance, stability, and user experience.You have worked on large-scale mobile applications in a team environment.You are a good communicator.
