Primary function of the Foundry Estimator is to compile andgenerate quotations for the Foundry Division Sales Team. To be successful inthis position, the candidate must be results oriented and have the demonstratedability to effectively prioritize workflow in order to meet submissiondeadlines. In addition, this position requires excellent research skills toretrieve all information required for quotes.

The estimator is an integral part of the technical sales /customer service aspect of product sales at Wabi. This position will addressall cost generation for customer’s product inquiries and will also beresponsible for some cost analysis and cost control of the productionenvironment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includethe following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Generate quotations for Foundry castings
- Maintain records of all cost sheets generated.
- Interact with customers to provide clarifications whenneeded for specific quotations.
- Analyze and evaluate cost performance for all processedwork.
- Establish sub-contract requirements for quotations andsolicit competitive bids where needed.
- Maintain quotation database and files for received andissued quotations.
- Establish engineering, pattern shop, and manufacturinglabour budgets for specific quotations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

This position requires the completion of a post-secondaryeducation program. Five years’ experience in a related field. Require theability to work under pressure and combine that with the drive, focus anddetermination to succeed.

This position requires a basic understanding of drawings.

LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze,



and interpret general businessperiodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmentalregulations. Must have knowledge of a variety of advanced computer applicationsincluding most importantly Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, andvolume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, andproportions to practical solutions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry outinstructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal withproblems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Maintaining confidentiality is essential in dealing with sensitive corporate,employee and customer information.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, TRAINING

Knowledgeable in numerous Computer Softwares (MS Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Website).
