Family Support Worker (Sudbury Area or Sagamok)Salary Range: $26.00-$34.00/hr (dependent on experience)JOB SUMMARY:Sagamok Anishnawbek is seeking a Family Support Worker to join the Child and Family Advocacy Unit. In this meaningful role, you will work directly with children and families to strengthen family functioning, support parents in building confidence and skills, and connect families with culturally appropriate services, resources, and supports.You will walk alongside families who may be experiencing complex challenges or involvement with child protection services—helping them identify their strengths, develop plans, navigate services, and work toward greater safety, stability, and wellbeing.POSITION DUTIES:Build trusting relationships with children, parents, extended family members, and other natural supportsWork collaboratively with families to identify strengths, challenges, and needs and develop plans of care or action plansCoordinate and participate in family circles, case reviews, and case conferencesConnect families with community-based and culturally appropriate prevention resources, services, and other supportsProvide practical and intensive family supports that promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeingSupport and advocate for families during and following child welfare investigationsRespond to crisis situations in collaboration with the Child Welfare Advocate and other partners when child safety concerns arisePlan and facilitate prevention, education, parenting, healthy child development, literacy,
