Interpro provides an excellent learning environment for engineering students. As a member of the Tubular Products Group Engineering team, you will assist on various CAPEX, Investment and improvement projects and contribute to the technical competence and production requirements of the manufacturing facilities.Work with the engineering team to provide project stakeholders and sponsors with finished projects in a timely mannerCommunicate effectively with colleagues; this includes collecting and coordinating helpful informationParticipate in discussions with Project Managers and Project EngineersLead department meetings and prepare meeting minutesCollaborate to prepare engineering design, specification and/or recommendations in: OEM pipe forming and finishing equipment, equipment selection and specification, mechanical design details, safety improvement projects and/or product quality improvement initiativesCreate and maintain project documentation (request for quote, scope of work, task breakdown structures, project scheduling, budget estimating, etc.)Develop detailed mechanical and equipment layout drawingsConduct equipment evaluations with the support of senior staffParticipate in facility evaluations and assist in technical report writingComplete design and specification drawings with support from the engineering teamAssist in the design routine mechanical details and write technical specificationsLead by example by actively embodying Interpro Pipe & Steel’s culture and valuesRequirementsMust be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Degree program from a recognized universityExposure to equipment selection and specification methodsKnowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems used in an industrial manufacturing environmentUnderstand mechanical design details and experience interpreting basic multi-disciplinary, plan and profile drawingsExperience with CAD software such as Autodesk products, Ex.
