About the Role

Our client, a leading mining services provider, is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Operations Manager to oversee all HR functions for their operations in and around Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR services, including employee relations, HR administration, payroll, and compliance, across multiple sites. You will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures, managing HR projects, and providing guidance to line managers on HR-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational HR, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced workplace. This is a remote-first role, allowing for significant flexibility while maintaining operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and HR administration functions.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company standards.
- Manage HR projects and initiatives, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Provide HR support and guidance to line managers, fostering a strong partnership.




- Oversee the management of HR records and HRIS systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in HR management, with a strong focus on HR operations.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, payroll administration, and HRIS management.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour law and best HR practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience within the mining or industrial sector is highly advantageous.
