The Technologist in General Radiology and Computed Tomography recognizes safety as a priority for Diagnostic Imaging Services, as each of us plays an integral part to building a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Services and under the supervision of the Charge Technologists, the General Radiology and Computed Tomography Technologist will be responsible for (a) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; (b) upholding allpolicies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) maintaining the protected operation of equipment; and, (d)



participating in quality and safety initiatives.Requirements:Education and Experience:Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological TechnologyCurrent registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)Knowledge of clinical CMRITO Standards of Practice and Code of EthicsMust show evidence of clinical competence through continuing educationCurrent CPR Certification and maintained throughout employmentSuccessful completion of CAMRT's CT Imaging 1, 2, 3 courses and ability to obtain certificationCompetent in venipuncture and contrast media injectionsCompletion of cross sectional anatomy coursesWork independently performing CT'sSkills and Abilities:Effective communication and team building skillsDesire to learn and collaborate within a team environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and as a team memberExcellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively and positively with patients, physicians and co-workers.Good attendance and availability required#J-18808-Ljbffr
