Quality Control Manager - Permanent - 19541 Quality Control Manager - Permanent - 19541About the Opportunity Our Private Sector client, an established manufacturing organization with an in-house production operation and a dedicated quality team, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead its quality function. The organization builds to customer-specified workmanship standards and operates a formal Quality Management System (QMS) aligned to ISO 9001.Reporting to the site's management team, the successful candidate will own the QMS, lead ISO 9001 certification and ongoing compliance, manage the QA and QC team, and drive continuous improvement across the operation. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines strategy and reporting with shop‑floor problem solving.Duties include but are not limited to:Lead the activities and reporting needed to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certificationLead external ISO audits and oversee internal audits carried out by the QA teamOwn the QMS key performance indicators (KPIs) and complete the management review of the systemInterpret customer workmanship standards and translate them into clear direction for the teamOversee nonconformance report (NCR) reporting and root cause analysis,



and follow up on open NCRs using weekly reportsApprove remake dispositions on NCRsWork with Production to identify noncompliance and implement corrective actionsLead continuous improvement initiatives across the operationPerform source inspections when requiredManage a team of QA specialists, quality analysts, and QC inspectorsEnsure inspectors meet production requirements, and review and sign off on inspector qualificationsAudit how well production employees are trained on quality standardsComplete probationary, quarterly, and annual employee reviewsParticipate in management meetings as the voice of qualityAbout You The successful candidate will have the following:Several years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including people leadershipHands‑on experience with ISO 9001, including leading audits and maintaining a QMSStrong command of NCRs, root cause analysis, and corrective actionAbility to read, interpret, and apply customer workmanship standardsA collaborative style that earns the trust of Production while holding the line on qualityClear reporting and communication skills, including reporting to managementThe following will be considered assets: Experience guiding a site through ISO 9001 certificationAbout the Job Employment Type: Permanent, full-timeLocation: OttawaWork Environment: On-siteReporting To: Site management teamPlease note that all candidates must be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this chance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
