Within its own walls and through partnerships with community providers, CHEO has transformed from a 20th century acute care hospital into a 21st century integrated child and youth health system.

POSITION SUMMARY

BORN Ontario recognizes that information plays an important role advancing health equity and improving care for Indigenous Peoples. We are committed to respecting Indigenous data governance and facilitating the use of perinatal health information related to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, in alignment with the values and desires of their communities.

The development of the dOPR+ will rely on the shared perspectives, experiences and engagement of clinicians and people with lived and living experience across Ontario.

The EDI Indigenous Health & Wellness Specialist will lead engagement with Indigenous communities across Ontario to foster respectful,

Through a listening-first, relationship-based approach, the Specialist will work to understand what Indigenous communities and partners identify as their priorities, needs, concerns, and desired outcomes to ensure their perspectives meaningfully inform and shape the development of the BORNConnect digital Ontario Perinatal Record+ (dOPR+).
