From new fabrication to repairs and rebuilds, you'll help produce components built for demanding applications.Janox Fluid Power is part of the Boundary group of companies, a Canadian group of specialized industrial businesses supporting the mining, heavy equipment, manufacturing and resource sectors.If you're equally comfortable fitting, fabricating and welding, and enjoy taking a job from setup through completion, we'd like to meet you.What You'll DoFabricate, fit and weld hydraulic and industrial components from drawings, sketches and specificationsMeasure, lay out, cut, prepare and assemble materials before weldingPerform repair and build-up welding on worn or damaged componentsUse cutting, grinding, gouging and beveling techniques to prepare materials and repair areasDetermine appropriate fit-up, welding sequence and fabrication methods, considering alignment and distortionVerify dimensions, tolerances and fit throughout the process, and inspect completed work for qualityWork with machinists and other tradespeople to solve fabrication and repair challengesSafely rig, position and move large components using overhead cranes and material-handling equipmentComplete job documentation, care for equipment and maintain a clean, organized work areaFollow Janox quality requirements and safe work proceduresWhat You Bring3–5+ years of welding and fabrication experienceStrong MIG/FCAW and stick welding capabilitiesExperience independently fitting and fabricating componentsAbility to interpret drawings, sketches,



dimensions and specificationsStrong measuring, layout, material preparation and fit-up skillsExperience working with different materials and thicknessesMechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skillsExperience with overhead cranes and riggingAbility to organize your work and carry projects through to completionAttention to detail, ownership of your work and a commitment to safetyHydraulic cylinder, heavy equipment or industrial repair experience is a strong asset.Journeyperson Welder certification and additional welding tickets are assets, but not required.
