Claims Support Specialist Bilingual (ENG/FR)

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Onsite/hybrid

Duration: 3 months Contract with strong possibility of extension up to 12 months

Shift Timings:
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR
11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
(Monday to Friday, full time)

Rate: CAD 23/hr on T4

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and administer claims by managing correspondence, data entry, record validation, and database updates.
Maintain, scan, organize, and securely handle confidential claimant documentation.
Provide claimant support through inbound calls, outbound follow-ups, and timely claim status communications.
Triage, investigate, document, and resolve support tickets while escalating complex or sensitive cases when required.
Accurately code claim information and perform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
Identify discrepancies, exceptions, and process issues, and escalate them for resolution.
Manage high-volume interactions with professionalism, empathy, and adherence to compliance standards.
Maintain detailed records, call notes, and case documentation across multiple systems.




Support operational efficiency through backlog management, reporting, audit preparation, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide training, coaching, and support to junior team members.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bilingual in English & French (mandatory)
1+ year experience in customer service / call handling / claims support
Robust data entry and administrative experience
Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged content
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with VOIP or call systems preferred
Solid attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Experience in professional services environment preferred

NICE TO HAVE:
Knowledge of Indigenous culture
Ability to speak Indigenous languages (Cree, Inuktitut, Ojibway, etc.)

Role involves reviewing highly sensitive content (e.g., abuse, trauma, self-harm). Candidates must be emotionally resilient and comfortable handling such material.
