Vero Italian Sandwich Co. is a fast-growing, chef-driven Italian sandwich concept built around one non-negotiable: freshly baked bread, every day. We’re expanding across the GTA and looking for a passionate, reliable Baker to join our team and own the foundation of everything we do. If you take pride in your craft and want to grow with a brand that genuinely cares about quality, this is your role.

Responsibilities
Prepare and bake all bread and baked goods in-house daily, following Vero’s recipes and quality standards — consistency is everything
Manage dough preparation, proofing, and baking schedules to meet daily production volumes
Package baked goods carefully for service, maintaining freshness and quality
Monitor ingredient inventory and flag replenishment needs to the ops team
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-protected baking environment — including equipment and storage areas throughout your shift
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to align production with store demand
Provide friendly,



knowledgeable service when customers have questions about our products

What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in baking, a bakery, restaurant, or high-volume food production setting is preferred — but we’ll train the right person
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures; Food Handler Certification an asset
Solid attention to consistency and detail — every loaf matters
Comfortable with early morning shifts and physically demanding, fast-paced work
Ability to stand for extended periods and work independently without supervision
A genuine passion for quality food and the craft of baking
