Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and other confections, following established recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, themes, and personalized touches using various techniques and tools
Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area
Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling baked items for service or display
Package baked goods securely for retail sale or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
Maintain inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and decorating materials; notify management of stock needs




Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and accommodating special requests when possible

Experience
Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or a related culinary role within a restaurant or bakery setting
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and decorating processes
Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices for hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Previous experience in customer service is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with customers is essential
