We are seeking a dynamic and skilled PLC & Robotic Programmer.

Traveling to project sites and locations across Canada and USA and other International countries!

Position: PLC & Robotic Programmer
Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Pay: $80K – 100K depending on experience
Shift: Days – Minimum 40 hours/week
Status: Full time Permanent
Industry: Industrial Automation / Manufacturing
Travel: Up to 50% – Travel to various customer/project sites required

Position Summary

We are currently recruiting an experienced PLC & Robotic Programmer for an industrial automation company in Peterborough, Ontario. The successful candidate will program, commission, troubleshoot, and support automated equipment in-house and at various customer sites. Regular travel to project sites is a requirement of this position and may include locations throughout Canada, the USA, Mexico, and potentially other international locations.

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of PLC programming and industrial automation experience

· Extensive experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 and Logix 5000 programming

· Solid HMI programming experience

· Experience programming and integrating industrial robots such as FANUC, KUKA, Motoman/Yaskawa and/or ABB





· Robust ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

· Experience troubleshooting electrical, controls, and communication issues

· Knowledge of industrial networks including EtherNet/IP, Profinet or similar

· Must be able and willing to travel up to approximately 50% of the time to various customer/project sites

· Must be able to travel throughout Canada, the USA, Mexico, and potentially internationally

· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

· Valid passport and ability to travel to the United States

· Diploma or Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred

Additional Assets:

· Siemens PLC programming using Step 7 and TIA Portal

· OMRON PLC programming using Sysmac Studio and CX-One

· Rockwell SLC and PLC5 experience

· SCADA development and deployment

· Electrical schematic design

· Control panel design and layout

· Experience working within manufacturing or industrial automation settings
