Job Summary

Join our team as a School Bus Monitor and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of students during their daily transportation. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will supervise students on the bus, assist with boarding and disembarking, and promote a positive riding experience. Your dedication will help foster a protected environment that encourages respectful behavior and supports students’ needs throughout their journey.

Duties
Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately
Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, especially those with special needs or disabilities
Maintain a calm, friendly demeanor to promote a positive atmosphere onboard
Monitor student conduct and address behavioral issues in accordance with school policies
Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, and parents regarding student safety or concerns
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the bus interior before and after routes
Support students with caregiving needs,



including helping them secure seat belts or assistive devices

Requirements
Experience working with children in educational, caregiving, or childcare settings
Solid caregiving skills with patience and empathy for diverse student needs
Classroom experience or familiarity with early childhood education principles is preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
Ability to maintain a vigilant watch over students to ensure safety at all times
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with school personnel and families
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe transportation environment for all students

Pay: From $27.76 per hour
