Responsibilities
Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials
Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, handling inquiries and reservation requests clearly and promptly
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
Assist with guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent communication skills to resolve issues effectively
Experience
Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality is highly preferred
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS, is a plus
Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone
Experience in serving or restaurant environments enhances understanding of guest needs and flow management
Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is advantageous but not required
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a quick-paced setting
