Company: Borderline Outdoor – Newmarket
Pay: $18.00/hour + 1% commission on personal sales

About Us
Borderline Outdoor is an outdoor gear store for campers, skiers and snowboarders.

About the Role
This is not a cashier job. We're looking for someone who likes talking to people and knows how to sell. You'll approach customers, start conversations, find out what they're planning (a first camping trip, a current board for the season, a gift), and match them with the right gear. If you'd rather wait behind the counter for people to come to you, this role isn't a fit.

What You'll Do
Greet customers and start conversations on the floor
Ask questions to understand their needs and recommend the right products
Share your own camping and ski/snowboard experience to help customers decide
Suggest complementary items that make their trip better
Help keep the store organized and merchandised
During quieter hours, appear in short marketing videos for our social media, such as quick gear tips,

product explainers and event announcements

What We're Looking For
Outgoing, confident and comfortable approaching strangers
Proven ability to sell (retail sales experience is a robust asset)
Fluent English
Comfortable on camera, or willing to learn

Valuable To Have
French is a bonus
Hands-on camping experience
Skiing and/or snowboarding experience

What We Offer
$18.00/hour base pay
1% commission on your personal sales
30% off regular price on all in-store products (for you and your immediate family)
A team that actually uses the gear it sells

How to Apply
Apply through Indeed with your resume. In a few sentences, tell us about your favourite camping trip or ski/snowboard day, and about a time you sold something you believed in.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
