Snow doesn't care what time it is. Neither does this job.
We're looking for a plow truck operator who can get up at 3 a.m., get the truck warm, and have the lot transparent before the first coffee gets poured in town. You'll run routes across Halifax through the winter, keeping commercial properties open while everybody else is still under the blankets.
What you'll do:
Run plow routes during storms and cleanup
Do your pre-trip checks and keep the truck in shape
Watch for curbs, cars, and anything buried that shouldn't get hit
Report damage or problems to the crew lead right away
What we need:
Plow experience, or enough seat time to learn fast
Long nights. Cold mornings. Steady pay for people who don't flinch at a forecast.
Put in a valuable winter and there's a shot at summer work with our construction crew. We'd rather keep valuable people than go looking for new ones.
