Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess robust welding expertise along with mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret technical schematics. This role involves working with various welding techniques and fabrication tools. Candidates should be committed to safety, precision, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
GMAW
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for shaping materials
Use calipers, power tools, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate dimensions
Rigging and handling materials safely using cranes or forklifts as needed
Assist in assembly of fabricated parts for various projects including ductwork and structural components
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Conduct quality inspections on finished welds using calipers, hand tools, and visual checks
Requirements
CWB Certified
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills
Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
Experience with machining, assembly, ductwork fabrication, or working with schematics is desirable
Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery preferred
Robust attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
